UCF hired CannonDesign to explore the possibility of establishing a downtown Orlando campus.
After several months of meeting with more than 30 representatives from UCF and more than 20 from partner organizations, CannonDesign developed a concept report that suggests which academic programs could benefit from being downtown; opportunities for further partnerships with Valencia College and Orange County Public Schools; needed ancillary developments, such as parking, mass transit and housing; and opportunities for incorporating local employers, government and community organizations.
The concept report is now being used to guide conversations about developing a downtown campus, inform further areas of study and help construct the university’s plan for UCF Downtown.
