In November, UCF ice hockey played for the largest crowd in its 19-year history at Orlando’s Amway Center.

The club team, which competes in Division III of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), took on the University of South Carolina Gamecocks after an Orlando Solar Bears game. The match, which was part of the Knight’s regular season, was the first collegiate hockey game ever played at the $480 million facility, which seats up to 20,000.

“The crowd that night was amazing. It was definitely an exciting atmosphere, more than the players expected.
