Megawatt Ventures Applications Open for UCF Students and Faculty
Apr 17, 2017 to Apr 21, 2017
MegaWatt Ventures is funded by the US Department of Energy in an effort to focus regional resources to empower the United States into a clean technology super-region. MegaWatt Ventures – a $50,000+ prize competition for student scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs in clean tech, renewable energy, and energy efficiency – is accepting applications through April 21! This exciting accelerator-based competition provides top-notch mentoring and entrepreneurial training to enable teams to inevitably compete in a grand finale event with a $50,000 grand prize and a chance to move on to a national competition with an additional $50,000 prize available. This final forum pits highly competitive small businesses to pitch their technology and business model in front of a prestigious judges panel, comprised of renowned institutional investors as well as energy industry executives.
10 teams will be selected to participate with the final competition occurring in June 2017. Eligible teams/companies must be comprised 50% or more of current university students (or students who enrolled in the 2016/2017 academic year) to apply. For more details on the competition and how to apply please visit www.megawattventures.com or join us on Facebook and Twitter. Applications can be submitted at: www.f6s.com/megawattventures.
