Tickets for UCF Celebrates the Arts available starting March 1

Tickets for the third annual UCF Celebrates the Arts are available at www.arts.ucf.edu starting on March 1. A limited number of reserved seats may be purchased for $20 each from March 1-8 only. FREE, general admission seats will be available starting at noon on March 8.
UCF Celebrates the Arts is a week-long festival at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts that celebrates UCF’s arts through exhibits, events, and performances. In its third year, the festival will include performances by Theatre UCF and UCF Music, gallery exhibits, films, and interactive displays by students in the School of Visual Art & Design and Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, a mini-festival themed around UCF’s Big Read, and events hosted by UCF’s partner organizations, the Orlando Repertory Theatre and Orlando Shakespeare Theater.
The annual showcase is a unique event, bringing the skills, creativity, and dedication of the university’s artists to Orlando’s world-class performance venue.

Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 – Rodgers & Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA!
Saturday, April 8 – A mini-festival featuring The Grapes of Wrath, as part of the NEA sponsored Big Read
Sunday, April 9 – A concert by the UCF Choruses and alumni and faculty panels
Monday, April 10 – UCF Bands concert and a cabaret by the Orlando Shakespeare Theater
Tuesday, April 11 – SVAD Digital Media Showcase – hands on playtesting of games developed by UCF students
Wednesday, April 12 – Percussion Festival and two film showcases
Thursday, April 13 – The REP presents Lois Lowry’s The Giver
Friday, April 14 – The Flying Horse Big Band: The Bat Swings, premiering arrangements of the 1960s superhero movie and tv show
