September 2017 - USPS Employee of the Month - Damien Chaffin

Please help us congratulate our newest USPS Employee of the Month (EOM) for September 2017 – Damien Chaffin. Damien is the Administrative Assistant in the School of Teaching, Learning and Leadership in the College of Education and Human Performance. His nominators had this to say about him:

“Mr. Chaffin’s superior ability centers on how he builds and manages personal relationships and strengthens partnerships. He is a bridge builder and equally important, he is not a bridge burner. He creates alliances and drives consensus. This combination of abilities and talents has enabled him to become a person that others look to for guidance when problems arise. He is consistent problem-solver and is known as the go-to person in the department.

I cannot in the space allotted, describe all that Damien has done. He is a friendly person and a joy to be around. He is able to maintain a professional demeanor while making faculty, staff and students feel valued and appreciated."

We would like to thank this outstanding employee for his dedication and hard work. Damien receives a certification, one-time $200 cash award, $25 from UCF Business Services and UCF Bookstore, and this goody bag. Damien will also receive a marquee announcement, an introduction to the UCF Board of Trustees, and is eligible for the USPS Employee of the Year $2,500 award, announced at the Annual Awards Program.

We'd like to recognize his nominators, Eric Brewington and Linda Alexander, who took the time to acknowledge his excellent efforts among their colleagues.
