Dear Colleagues:<\/p>\n

Another\u00a0tropical storm system\u00a0is approaching Florida.\u00a0Please be vigilant and consider your preparations for home and work now.<\/p>\n

Campus operations are currently normal. This evening, based on the latest forecasts for Subtropical Storm Nicole, UCF will update the campus community on plans for classes and operations. As we saw with Hurricane Ian, weather conditions can change rapidly. Watch for relevant notifications and updates through UCF Alert system texts, emails and online at\u00a0https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/hurricane.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, please consider what steps you may need to take in your research and your classes \u2013 including how you can support students. Your flexibility in working with students after Hurricane Ian helped many through a difficult time.<\/p>\n

Hurricane Ian underscored how preparation is key to navigating the potential impacts of a storm threat to our region. Even less powerful\u00a0storms can bring severity, such as power loss and flooding, especially to areas recently recovering from high waters.<\/p>\n
