Having leaders in place who help us do that strengthens UCF and the important work we do.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why I have hired Rhonda Bishop as our new Vice President for Compliance and Risk. Rhonda will lead our commitment to accountability and transparency while strengthening a culture of ethics throughout UCF.<\/p>\n<p>Rhonda has spent the past year and a half as Vice President for Risk, Audit and Compliance at the University of Louisville. Her previous experience includes serving as UCF\u2019s first chief compliance and ethics officer.<\/p>\n<p>Rhonda is a respected leader in compliance and ethics and created a consortium that helped other Florida universities establish their own compliance and ethics programs. While at UCF, she developed the university\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/compliance.ucf.edu\/\">code of conduct<\/a>, launched the anonymous <a href=\"https:\/\/compliance.ucf.edu\/compliance-helpline\/\">IntegrityLine<\/a> and helped create the <a href=\"https:\/\/letsbeclear.ucf.edu\/\">Let\u2019s Be Clear program<\/a> on sexual harassment and sexual assault.<\/p>\n<p>She will start on Sept. 9 and report to me as a member of the president\u2019s cabinet and to the Board of Trustees\u2019 Audit and Compliance Committee.<\/p>\n<p>In her role, Rhonda will oversee UCF\u2019s compliance, ethics and risk efforts, leading enterprise risk, compliance and ethics, athletics compliance, environmental health and safety, and risk management and insurance services. She also will oversee many of the recommendations from the Board of Trustees\u2019 post-investigation action plan, including ethics training and institutional risk assessments.<\/p>\n<p>Elevating this position to a senior leadership role has long been a best practice in large, high-performing organizations.
