On opening day, Taylor finished 2-for-3 with one RBI as the cleanup man in the lineup in a 7-2 win, then set career-highs with five hits and four runs the next day. In that 14-4 triumph, he also collected three RBI and one homer. And in the series finale, Taylor sparked the UCF offense to a late rally, tying it at 6-6 with two outs in the eighth thanks to a solo shot over the right-field wall.
