UCF’s Cent$ible Knight$ financial literacy program this week was named a $12,500 grant recipient by the FAIRWINDS Foundation for the program’s success of enhancing students’ financial knowledge and equipping them to make sound financial decisions.<\/p>\n

Cent$ible Knight$<\/a> was one of eight regional organizations chosen by the foundation for embodying the organization’s core purpose of inspiring generosity and improving lives through financial well-being.<\/p>\n

The grant is broken down into $2,500 scholarships to be distributed to five selected full-time undergraduate students who successfully complete the requirements of the program offered by UCF Financial Aid.<\/p>\n

“The support of FAIRWINDS Credit Union and its Foundation has been essential to the facilitation of our Cent$ible Knight$ workshops,” says Susan Glenn, UCF Foundation’s College of Business executive director.<\/p>\n

The Cent$ible Knight$ program was launched in 2015 to provide resources and webinars to students to help them stay on sound financial footing. Programs focus on topics such as establishing a strong personal budget, evaluating your credit, planning investments and other subjects.<\/p>\n

FAIRWINDS has long been the official student banking service provider to the university.<\/p>\n

“We are proud to support each of these organizations, and we look forward to the impact they will make in helping others achieve financial freedom through education,” says Elisha Gonz\u00e1lez, vice president of community relations and government affairs at FAIRWINDS Credit Union and executive director of the FAIRWINDS Foundation.<\/p>\n
