Events will be held March 29 to April 1, and they will be free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
More than 400 students are scheduled to participate in the Graduate Research Forum from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, and the Showcase of Undergraduate Research Excellence from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 1. Both will take place in the Pegasus Ballroom of the Student Union.<\/p>\n
Those events offer students involved in academic projects the opportunity to present their findings, and they help students not involved in research learn how they can participate. A total of $20,000 in scholarships will be awarded to the students whose projects are selected as the best by UCF faculty members.<\/p>\n
Other Research Week events include panel discussions and workshops on topics such as getting started in research, securing funding and gaining the most out of graduate school.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur students take advantage of many opportunities to engage in research with UCF\u2019s outstanding faculty members, enhancing their classroom experiences and preparing them for future endeavors,\u201d said Kimberly Schneider, director of the Office of Undergraduate Research. \u201cI encourage students, faculty and the community to attend and acknowledge their hard work.\u201d<\/p>\n
