Nano Discovery Inc., a medical research company headquartered in southeast Orlando, was awarded a $100,000 Florida Technology Transfer & Commercialization Partnership Grant.<\/p>\n

Dr. Qun Huo, founder and chief executive officer of Nano Discovery and an associate professor at University of Central Florida\u2019s NanoScience Technology Center<\/a>, said the grant will help further her efforts to develop a new bioanalytical technology for biomolecular and research and medical diagnosis using gold nanoparticles.<\/p>\n

Nano Discovery expects to commercialize this new technology to the biomedical research community in one to two years and to the diagnostic market in three to five years.<\/p>\n

Nano Discovery<\/a> is a client of the UCF Business Incubation Program<\/a> in the Central Florida Research Park.<\/p>\n
