Six students from the College of Business Administration\u00a0won awards at the recent Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) National Leadership Conference.<\/p>\n

The students, along with their advisor, Management instructor Carl Blencke<\/strong>, traveled to Nashville to participate in the Simply the Best<\/em> program. They were among more than 1,700 students from around the nation to attend the conference which showcased their talents as future business leaders.<\/p>\n

The awards were part of a comprehensive competitive events program sponsored by the organization. Individuals, state teams, and local chapters could compete in more than 50 events. The winners of these highly competitive and prestigious awards were selected from among the top of FBLA-PBL\u2019s membership of 250,000 students and advisors.<\/p>\n

College of Business Administration\u00a0winners included:<\/p>\n

1st Place:<\/em><\/p>\n

  • Event: Management Analysis & Decision Making, Cash Prize $750<\/li>\n
  • Student: Steven Peterson<\/strong><\/li>\n

    2nd Place:<\/em><\/p>\n

  • Event: Business Decision Making (Group)<\/li>\n
  • Students: Jamie Gregor<\/strong> and Madison Rudkin<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Event: Hospitality Management (Group), Cash Prize $100<\/li>\n
  • Students: Melissa Blette<\/strong> and Ashlei Smith<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • Event: Marketing Concepts, Cash Prize $225<\/li>\n
  • Students: Melissa Blette<\/strong><\/li>\n

    3rd Place:<\/em><\/p>\n

  • Event: Project Management<\/li>\n
  • Students: Steven Peterson<\/strong><\/li>\n

    5th Place:<\/em><\/p>\n

  • Event: Management Concepts<\/li>\n
  • Students: Kris Dolen<\/strong><\/li>\n

    7th Place:<\/em><\/p>\n

  • Event: Marketing Concepts<\/li>\n
  • Students: Jamie Gregor<\/strong><\/li>\n

    In addition,\u00a0College of Business Administration\u00a0students Matthew Boykin<\/strong>, Florida\u2019s District 3 vice president and Tahsin Nabid<\/strong>, vice president of the Professional Division, were in attendance.<\/p>\n
