This is public notice that the UCF Board of Trustees will consider a proposal to increase out-of-state student fees by 10% at a meeting on Thursday, July 31. If approved, the increase would be effective beginning Fall 2025. This proposal would not<\/strong> affect the cost of tuition or fees for in-state students.<\/p>\n

UCF continues to provide access to a high-quality education at one of the lowest costs in the country.<\/p>\n

Our ability to continue to improve your experience while keeping tuition low has been made possible through investment from the State of Florida and UCF\u2019s focus on innovation and operational efficiency. More than 93% of UCF\u2019s undergraduate students are Florida residents, and we serve more of Florida\u2019s students than any other institution in the State University System.<\/p>\n

Fee Changes for Out-of-State Students<\/h2>\n

UCF has not increased out-of-state student fees in more than a decade<\/a>. This proposal would allow UCF to maintain the quality of our academic and student support services in response to rising costs. The purpose of this increase is to adjust out-of-state student fees to better reflect the increasing costs of hiring additional faculty, providing instruction, and improving student services at UCF.<\/p>\n

Even with the proposed increase for out-of-state students, UCF would remain one of the most affordable leading public research universities in the nation, while continuing to offer transformational opportunities for all students.<\/p>\n

UCF is mindful of the potential impact on currently enrolled out-of-state-students. Should this proposal be approved, the university would work directly with affected students to determine if financial assistance options are available.<\/p>\n
