UCF offers a wide selection of resources specifically to help you keep the momentum.<\/p>\n<h2>Academic Support<\/h2>\n<p>Shorter summer sessions are fast paced and demanding, but you don&#8217;t have to navigate it alone. Support services are available in person and virtually to keep your GPA on track.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Private Coaching:<\/strong> The Student Academic Resource Center continues to provide <a href=\"https:\/\/sarc.sswb.ucf.edu\/tutoring\/\">peer tutoring<\/a> for over 30 subjects. Visit the SARC office in Trevor Colbourn Hall Room 117 or the Engineering II atrium for assistance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Math Tutoring<\/strong>: Located in the Mathematical Science Building, the Math Success Center offers <a href=\"https:\/\/sciences.ucf.edu\/math\/success-center\/\">free drop-in tutoring<\/a> for students enrolled in undergraduate math courses, providing a focused environment to master challenging concepts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Writing Center<\/strong>: From complex research papers and resume polishes to creative writing hobbies, the University Writing Center offers specialized <a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/uwc\/schedule-a-consultation\/\">one-on-one consultations<\/a> to help you make tangible progress on all kinds of written projects.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Study Spaces<\/strong>: Use the university\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/library.ucf.edu\/services\/study-rooms\/\">online reservation system<\/a> to book a private study room in advance at the John C. Hitt and UCF Downtown libraries to ensure you have a safe, quiet place to study during finals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Wellness Resources<\/h2>\n<p>Taking care of yourself is just as important during finals week as it is during a semester off. Fewer students on campus during the summer semester allows you more access to these wellness perks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mental Health:<\/strong> Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides students with around-the-clock <a href=\"https:\/\/caps.sswb.ucf.edu\/\">mental health support<\/a> at no extra cost. Students also have free access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/caps.sswb.ucf.edu\/togetherall\/\">Togetherall<\/a> anonymous peer-to-peer support community and <a href=\"https:\/\/caps.sdes.ucf.edu\/bettermynd\/\">BetterMynd<\/a> teletherapy sessions throughout the entire summer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Physical Wellness:<\/strong> The <a href=\"https:\/\/rwc.sswb.ucf.edu\/\">Recreation and Wellness Center<\/a> gym remains open with full summer hours to help you maintain your fitness routine. For a brain break and an extra dose of sunshine, head over to the <a href=\"https:\/\/rwc.sswb.ucf.edu\/facilities\/lake-claire\/\">Lake Claire Recreation Area<\/a> for free kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Meeting Basic Needs:<\/strong> If your budget gets tight between semesters, you don&#8217;t have to worry. The Knights Helping Knights Pantry remains stocked and open during the summer to <a href=\"https:\/\/studentunion.ucf.edu\/knights-pantry\/\">provide free food<\/a>, toiletries and clothing to any Knight in need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Professional Development<\/h2>\n<p>Summer is the perfect time to refine your professional brand. Career Services offers a series of Workshop Wednesdays and drop-in sessions to help you prepare for your next interview, internship or first day on the job.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Career Readiness: <\/strong>Get quick, expert feedback on your resume, LinkedIn profile, practice interview or Handshake account with Critiques &amp; Career Express. <a href=\"https:\/\/career.ucf.edu\/\">Sessions are offered<\/a> in-person or virtually throughout July 31.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workshop Wednesdays: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/events.ucf.edu\/calendar\/54\/career-services\/upcoming\/\">Join virtual sessions<\/a> throughout June and July to sharpen specific skills, including how to utilize AI in the job search, career exploration and the do\u2019s and don\u2019ts of networking online.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Free Headshots: <\/strong>Stop by the Headshot Booth located in the Student Government office of the Student Union for <a href=\"https:\/\/studentgovernment.ucf.edu\/services\/academic\/headshots\/\">your free headshot<\/a>. The booth is open and free for all students and produces professional, high-quality headshots same day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Summer Events Around Campus<\/h2>\n<p>Stay engaged with these social and cultural opportunities that span the entire term.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Socialize with Grad Students: <\/strong>Head to the Graduate Student Center in Trevor Colbourn Hall, Room 213 on the first Wednesday of each summer month for First Wednesday Cafe. Hosted by Graduate Student Life, it\u2019s a <a href=\"https:\/\/events.ucf.edu\/event\/4119540\/first-wednesday-cafe\/\">perfect opportunity to unwind<\/a>, meet fellow students, and grab free bagels and coffee.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Interactive Play Festival: <\/strong>Pegasus PlayLab is a festival hosted every summer by the UCF School of Performing Arts and is dedicated to helping develop the work of emerging playwrights across the country. <a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/performingarts\/pegasus-playlab-2026\/\">Grab tickets<\/a> for the workshop showings of <em>Offshoot<\/em> (May 29 \u2013 30), <em>Eight-Hand Jig<\/em> (June 5 \u2013 6), <em>Between Shadows and Lightness <\/em>(June 12 \u2013 13), and the developmental production of <em>Raccoon Play<\/em>(June 11 \u2013 14).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Art Exhibition: <\/strong>Take a quiet culture break at the UCF Art Gallery (located in the Visual Arts Building) to experience <em>The Carlos Malamud Prize.<\/em> Running all summer long, <a href=\"https:\/\/cah.ucf.edu\/gallery\/exhibit\/pathways-2026-the-carlos-malamud-prize\/\">this partnership exhibition <\/a>with Rollins Museum of Art features striking works from six emerging Florida artists competing for a $10,000 prize.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Therapy Dogs: <\/strong>If you need a serious mood boost, head over to CAPS to spend some time with certified therapy dogs during the <a href=\"https:\/\/events.ucf.edu\/event\/4129106\/paws-atively-energized\/\">PAWS-atively Energized<\/a> It\u2019s a proven, relaxing way to take a mid-semester breather and destress between your Summer A and Summer B classes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Transportation and Parking<\/h2>\n<p>Summer is the best time to find a &#8220;prime&#8221; parking spot, but shuttles are still a reliable way to get around.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Summer Shuttle Schedules:<\/strong> UCF shuttles operate on a modified summer schedule. Be sure to check the UCF Mobile app or the <a href=\"https:\/\/parking.ucf.edu\/\">Parking and Transportation<\/a> website for the most current route times, as frequency may differ from the fall\/spring semesters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Whether you are catching a sunset by the Reflecting Pond or grinding through a summer lab, remember that the UCF community is here to support you.
