(Photo courtesy of UCF Athletics)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The regional will run Friday, May 29 to Monday, June 1 at Auburn\u2019s Plainsman Park in Auburn, Alabama.<\/p>\n<p>Baseball is one of 10 UCF programs to compete at an NCAA postseason regional or championship event in 2025-26, joining&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-mens-soccer-earns-championship-bid-to-ncaa-tournament\/\">men\u2019s<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-womens-soccer-to-host-ncaa-tournament-first-round\/\">women\u2019s soccer<\/a>, indoor track &amp; field,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/pegasus\/march-to-madness\/\">men\u2019s basketball<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-tennis-teams-2026-ncaa-tournament\/\">men\u2019s and women\u2019s tennis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-womens-golf-20th-ncaa-postseason-appearance\/\">women\u2019s golf<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/ucf-softball-continues-streak-of-ncaa-tournament-appearances\/\">softball<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/big-12-champ-ucf-rowing-at-ncaa-championship\/\">rowing<\/a>. The 10 NCAA appearances ties for the most in UCF history with the 2018-19 athletic year.<\/p>\n<h2>Postseason Outlook<\/h2>\n<p>UCF earned the No. 2 seed in the four-team regional and will open play against the No. 3 seed NC State Wolfpack on Friday at 6 p.m. ET. The winner of the game will advance to meet the winner of Friday\u2019s earlier matchup between the No. 4-national seed Auburn and Milwaukee.<\/p>\n<p>All games of the 64-team field are available on the ESPN family of networks.<\/p>\n<p>The final eight teams to advance out of the Super Regional round will head to Omaha, Nebraska, for the 79th Men\u2019s College World Series at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. The NCAA appearance will mark UCF\u2019s second under third-year head coach&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ucfknights.com\/staff\/rich-wallace\">Rich Wallace<\/a>&nbsp;and the program\u2019s 14th NCAA Regional appearance in program history.<\/p>\n<p>UCF is one of six Big 12 programs to be selected to the tournament. The Knights head into the postseason with a 31-21 overall record and set Big 12 era records in both conference wins with 19 (19-11) and league series wins with seven.<\/p>\n<p>The Knights&#8217; 19
