The space mission launched a spent rocket into the moon\u2019s surface last year in hopes of seeing a plume of debris that would give scientists a rare opportunity to see what was beneath the moon\u2019s surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>University of Central Florida Professor Humberto Campins<\/strong> was quoted in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/news\/2010\/101021\/full\/news.2010.556.html\"><em>Nature <\/em>news<\/a> story about the findings. He offered his expertise about where the water ice and other materials detected through LCROSS might come from.
