The University of Central Florida’s Creative School for Children<\/a> has been nationally recognized for quality, earning the prestigious NAEYC accreditation.<\/p>\n

NAEYC \u2013 or the National Association for the Education of Young Children \u2013 is the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.<\/p>\n

The accreditation, which will last for five years, recognizes the Creative School for Children’s quality, accountability and service for parents and children in child care programs. NAEYC’s accreditation standards reflect the latest research and best practices in early childhood education and development.<\/p>\n

“Having earned NAEYC Accreditation is a sign that the UCF Creative School for Children is a leader in a national effort to invest in high-quality early childhood education,” said NAEYC Executive Director Jerlean E. Daniel.<\/p>\n

To earn NAEYC accreditation, UCF’s Creative School was measured against early childhood program standards and more than 400 accreditation criteria. NAEYC assessors also visited the school to make sure the written standards matched actual performance.<\/p>\n

“We’re proud to have earned the mark of quality from NAEYC and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards,” said Rhonda Moore, the school’s director.<\/p>\n

“NAEYC accreditation lets families in our community know that children in our program are getting the best care and early-learning experiences possible,” she added.<\/p>\n

UCF’s Creative School for Children is an early education school located on the university’s main campus for the children of UCF students, faculty, staff and the community.<\/p>\n

The school encourages children to become lifelong learners by giving them opportunities to reach their highest potentials, while providing them with meaningful experiences that help them develop critical thinking and communication skills.<\/p>\n
