What started as a student class project turned into an actual event open to the public.<\/p>\n
Five students in Professor Carole Dickson\u2019s Event Promotion class at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management went beyond the confines of theoretical event design and teamed up with Reflex Entertainment to produce Bass, Grapes and Tapas.<\/p>\n
The event, centered on the end of the Spring 2011 semester, blends together aspects of Orlando\u2019s blooming cultural explosion.\u00a0 Guests will enjoy intriguing art, delicious wines, scrumptious food and some of the best electronic dance music Orlando has to offer.<\/p>\n
Students Cliff Smith, Zack Elkins, Ade Librado, Allyssa Anderson and Kelly Cuffari spent the semester gauging classmate interest, securing a venue, developing a menu, employing a promotions plan.\u00a0 Additionally, they professionally coordinated with sponsors Reflex Entertainment, The Dubsapiens, and M-Toxin Recordings.<\/p>\n
Librado was in charge of media promotion and assisted with social networking via Facebook for the event.\u00a0 \u201cI enjoyed promoting Bass, Grapes and Tapas, and hope to attract attendees,\u201d said Librado.<\/p>\n
Smith spearheaded the project and developed the promotional flyer.\u00a0 He shares, \u201cThe class has been extremely supportive of the event concept and a lot of interest has been generated.\u201d\u00a0 An industry professional, Smith feels this will add to [his classmates\u2019] resumes.<\/p>\n
