{"id":26814,"date":"2011-09-01T15:13:55","date_gmt":"2011-09-01T19:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/?p=26814"},"modified":"2022-03-03T09:03:19","modified_gmt":"2022-03-03T14:03:19","slug":"newsweek-ucf-students-more-likely-to-graduate-debt-free","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/news\/newsweek-ucf-students-more-likely-to-graduate-debt-free\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsweek: UCF Students More Likely to Graduate Debt Free"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Central Florida is among the top 25 colleges in the nation that are least likely to leave graduates in debt, according to a <em>Newsweek<\/em> article released this week.<\/p>\n<p>In the \u201cBest Colleges for You\u201d article, <em>Newsweek<\/em> and the online news site The Daily Beast recognized UCF as eighth on their list of inexpensive higher education institutions, in part because 97 percent of full-time undergraduates receive financial aid.<\/p>\n<p>The publication sorted through the nation\u2019s top 500 public and private four-year colleges, selecting schools that offered affordable tuition and accessible financial aid.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Newsweek<\/em> rankings also recognized UCF as one of the \u201cMost Beautiful\u201d schools.<\/p>\n<p>Last month UCF was named by Forbes as one of the top 50 most-affordable colleges and universities in the nation. Coming in at 42 on the list, UCF was noted for its prestigious designation as a high-research university, among other data showing how it combines affordability with a quality education.<\/p>\n<p>Also this year UCF was named one of the nation\u2019s \u201cbest value\u201d colleges and universities by The Princeton Review and Kiplinger magazine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The University of Central Florida is among the top 25 colleges in the nation that are least likely to leave graduates in debt, according to a Newsweek article released this week.
