For the second year, a group from UCF is participating in the NASCAR Kinetics: Marketing in Motion case study competition. Team members include:<\/p>\n
Brandon Vinieratos (General Business)<\/li>\nThe semi-annual collegiate competition brings together student teams from around the country to work through real world business challenges and to foster awareness of the NASCAR brand throughout their college and community. This year, the UCF team is competing against 18 other universities to win an all-expense paid trip to Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway in November.<\/p>\n
Scott Bukstein, visiting instructor and program coordinator for the DeVos Sport Business Management minor, serves as faculty advisor. \u201cThe NASCAR Kinetics Program is a creative, practical and effective way to educate our students about the sport business industry and the NASCAR brand. It provides students from our undergraduate sport business management program with an opportunity to apply what we teach them in the classroom to challenges and opportunities currently facing NASCAR and the motorsports industry,\u201d Bukstein said.<\/p>\n
The team recently hosted an M&M’s Makes Race Day More Fun NASCAR Race Viewing Party at Bubbalou\u2019s Bodacious Bar-B-Que that over 180 people attended. Next, they will have to develop creative at-track, retail and digital strategies to promote the relationship between Dodge and NASCAR.<\/p>\n
“Being a part of the UCF NASCAR Kinetics team this semester has been an incredible learning and rewarding experience for each member of the team. Working on industry-related case studies for Michael Waltrip Racing and Dodge has allowed our team to not only further our knowledge about the sport but also provide us with valuable hands-on sports experience,\u201d said team leader Jaime Fox.<\/p>\n
