Students, faculty and staff were invited to listen to an aspirational talk by Frank McKinney\u2019s “Survival to Thrival Tour” at the Knights Helping Knights Pantry. For every person that attended the event, a $25 donation from his foundation was made to the pantry.<\/p>\n

McKinney, a real estate developer and author, visits homeless shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries around the country. The Survival of Thrival Tour is about awareness of the homeless and hungry but most of all it is about taking action. Frank McKinney\u2019s impact will be felt long after his visit\u2212McKinney\u2019s foundation, The Caring House Project Foundation, donated $3,000 to the KHK Pantry by the end of his day on campus. In addition, he donated $1,000 in grocery gift cards and supplies to the pantry.<\/p>\n

The KHK Pantry, an initiative of Student Development and Enrollment Services, is located in Ferrell Commons and is free to all UCF students. For more information and hours, visit: http:\/\/knightspantry.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n
