The annual three-day meeting brings together an exclusive group of 100 of the nation’s outstanding young engineers (ages 30-45) from industry, academia, and government to discuss pioneering technical and leading-edge research in fields other than their own. Its goal is to facilitate collaborative work and the transfer of new approaches and techniques across fields. This year\u2019s topics include Engineering Tools for Scientific discovery, Engineering in health care delivery system. Nano\/Micro Photonics and New Applications and Resilient and Sustainable Infrastructure. All participants were chosen through a nomination and competitive selection.<\/p>\n

The Advanced Materials Processing and Analysis Center (AMPAC) at UCF was established in 1988.
