Ever wonder why chickens hang out in downtown Oviedo? Or how you can become a \u201ccocoa couture\u201d chocolate fashion designer?<\/p>\n

Then you won\u2019t want to miss WUCF TV\u2019s<\/a> new magazine-style show, \u201cONE.\u201d The locally produced show, which\u00a0debuted\u00a0Thursday, Aug. 2, tells the stories of the people and places that make Central Florida a unique place to live.<\/p>\n

In the first show, \u201cONE\u201d took viewers to a fast-talking auctioneer class in Clermont, a chocolate lovers\u2019 showcase in east Orlando and the UCF College of Medicine, where one man has decided to donate his body to science.<\/p>\n

A new episode of \u201cONE\u201d will premiere at 9 p.m.\u00a0the first Thursday of each month, with additional airings each following Sunday at 6 p.m. The half-hour show will run other times throughout the month.<\/p>\n

Since becoming Central Florida\u2019s only PBS broadcaster in July 2011, WUCF TV is committed to providing not only educational and entertaining national programming but also high-quality local productions to expand viewers\u2019 worlds and explore their community.<\/p>\n

\u201cCentral Florida viewers deserve a station that wants to know more about them and wants to tell stories that matter to people who live here,\u201d said Grant J. Heston, associate vice president of Communications and Public Affairs at UCF.<\/p>\n

In addition to \u201cONE,\u201d WUCF TV also produces the weekly public affairs program \u201cMetro Center Outlook\u201d with host Diane Trees, and \u201cGlobal Perspectives,\u201d an international affairs show with guests from around the world, hosted by Pulitzer Prize winner John Bersia.<\/p>\n
