The honor took place at the association&#8217;s annual conference, held July 13-16 in Orlando.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Vance is an excellent student who consistently produces high-quality work,&#8221; said her faculty adviser, Alice Noblin, director of the HIM program at UCF. &#8220;She is meticulous in completing all assignments and has maintained a 3.99 GPA.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her college career, Vance has been active in UCF&#8217;s Student Health Information Management Association and served as the organization&#8217;s secretary this year. She has also worked in health information management at the UCF Student Health Center and was an active participant in the internships and site visits she completed as a student. According to her management affiliation clinical supervisor, &#8220;Janine sets the bar high for future HIM students.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first award for Vance this year. In the spring, she was named the Founder&#8217;s Day student for the College of Health and Public Affairs and the 2009 Outstanding Student in HIM in the Department of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/degree\/health-informatics-and-information-management-bs\/\">Health Management and Informatics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, she received the annual Florida Health Information Management Association Scholarship and the Betty Kernodle Scholarship, awarded by the Central Florida Health Information Management Association.<\/p>\n<p>Vance will graduate from UCF on August 8.
