Writer and psychologist Devi Rajab will speak Tuesday, Feb. 26, about \u201cIndian Women: A Cross-Cultural Perspective,\u201d during a\u00a03 p.m. presentation in the Pegasus Ballroom of the UCF Student Union. The event, organized by a partnership of The Burnett Honors College, the Global Perspectives Office and The India Center, is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
Rajab is a journalist for the \u201cNatal Mercury\u201d in Durban, South Africa, and writes a column for \u201cConfluence,\u201d a London-based magazine on South Asian perspectives. She was a recipient of the Vodacom Journalist of the Year Award four time between 2003 and 2008 and the Turquoise Harmony Institute Media Award for Outstanding Journalism in 2010. She is the author of \u201cDevi\u2019s Diary,\u201d \u201cNo Subject is Taboo\u201d and most recently \u201cWomen: South Africans of Indian Origin.\u201d<\/p>\n
