His research area is investments, specifically market anomalies, short sales and mutual fund performance. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Virginia Tech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am deeply honored and humbled by the SunTrust Professorship. I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to working hard to help our department and college achieve prominence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Vladimir Gatchev came to UCF in 2005 and teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from Tulane University.<\/p>\n<p>He is also grateful for this opportunity. \u201cBeing named a SunTrust Professor of Finance is an honor and I am thankful for it.
