Regional health care leaders will discuss the Affordable Care Act at the ninth-annual State of Health Care in Central Florida Symposium at the University of Central Florida.<\/p>\n
The public is invited to attend the symposium at the FAIRWINDS<\/em> Alumni Center, across the street from the UCF Arena, from\u00a06:15 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 27.<\/p>\n Panelists will discuss the implications of the Affordable Care Act \u2013 the major health care reform law passed by Congress in 2010 \u2013 for Florida\u2019s health care industry and its citizens.<\/p>\n Speakers on the panel include Randy Hartley, chief administrative officer for Nemours Children\u2019s Hospital; Thomas Moore, southeast regional vice president\u2013public sector, education and labor markets for United Healthcare; Imtiaz Sattaur, president and CEO of Physician\u2019s United Plan; and Bridget Walters, corporate director for patient accounting for Orlando Health.<\/p>\n Aaron Liberman, professor of health services administration at UCF, will serve as the panel moderator.<\/p>\n The event also includes a networking session from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Both the networking session and the symposium are free for all guests.<\/p>\n UCF\u2019s Health Services Administration Alumni Chapter is hosting the symposium, which annually gathers health care leaders for discussions on challenges, opportunities and innovations in today\u2019s health care industry.<\/p>\n For further information about this year\u2019s symposium, call 407-823-3525.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Regional health care leaders will discuss the Affordable Care Act at the ninth-annual State of Health Care in Central Florida Symposium at the University of Central Florida.
