An open forum featuring Vivek J. Tiwary, a New York Times <\/em>bestselling author and an award-winning producer of Broadway shows, film, television and graphic novels, will be hosted 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Cape Florida Ballroom of the UCF Student Union.<\/p>\n

Tiwary\u2019s presentation is titled \u201cThe Color of Dreams: Breaking Down Ethnic Barriers in the Art & Entertainment.\u201d Many young people of south Asian heritage find themselves pigeonholed into fields such as engineering, medicine or technology. Rebelling against society\u2019s stereotypes, Tiwary said his tenacity and creativity enabled him to overcome the misconceptions placed upon him to enter and thrive in the world of art and entertainment.<\/p>\n

Tiwary is the producer and writer of \u201cThe Fifth Beatle,\u201d a New York Times <\/em>best-selling graphic novel based on the life of Beatles\u2019 manager Brian Epstein. On Broadway, Tiwary\u2019s productions have won a combined 25 Tony Awards from 44 Tony nominations.<\/p>\n
