Starting this week, speed limits in campus areas that were previously 35 mph have been lowered to 30 mph.<\/p>\n
This initiative will increase safety as UCF takes steps to allow faculty and staff members who utilize golf carts additional access to campus roads.<\/p>\n
Roadways impacted include Gemini Blvd. near Greek Park and the CFE Arena and Orion Blvd. near Bright House Networks Stadium.<\/p>\n
Roadways on campus with speed limits already under 30 mph will not be affected.<\/p>\n
UCF Police understand that there may be a period of adjustment for campus drivers, but know that they will enforce the new speed limits. It’s important to take the time to familiarize yourself with the areas that have had their speed limits lowered.<\/p>\n
