Roy Reid, \u201988, APR, CPRC, executive director of communications for the UCF College of Business Administration (#UCFBusiness), has been named PR Professional of the Year by the Orlando chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA).<\/p>\n

The PR Professional of the Year Award for Career Excellence is the most prestigious honor bestowed by the Orlando area chapter of FPRA.<\/p>\n

The winner of the PR Professional of the Year is selected by previous award recipients, and is based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n

  • Experience and leadership in the public relations profession<\/li>\n
  • Contributions made back to the profession<\/li>\n
  • Contributions made to the community and charitable organizations<\/li>\n
  • Lifetime achievement, service and awards<\/li>\n

    Reid will be formally honored at the FPRA Orlando Image Awards Gala on April 14th at UCF\u2019s Bright House Networks Stadium.<\/p>\n

    In addition to his recognition from FPRA, Reid was recently named by Trust Across America-Trust Around the World (TAA-TWA)\u00a0as one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior.<\/p>\n

    Roy Reid has been with #UCFBusiness since August 2013. In addition to directing strategic communication efforts, he has worked to develop programs to enhance professional student development that achieve the college\u2019s core objectives. Reid was recognized as #UCFBusiness Alumnus of the Year in 2007 and was inducted into the UCF Nicholson School of Communication Hall of Fame in 2010. He is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and is a Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC).
