The board is composed of community leaders who volunteer their time to guide the foundation in its mission to encourage, steward and celebrate charitable contributions to the university.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Boone, \u201975<\/strong>, is a partner of the law firm Boone and Shone, with practice areas of aviation litigation, medical malpractice and civil litigation. His father, Sam Boone, was the first university registrar at UCF.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Loretta Corey <\/strong>is director of the Career Program and Student Council at Benjamin Middle School in North Palm Beach. Under her direction, students start early planning for college. Two sons and two daughters-in-law are UCF graduates, and another is a current student, majoring in education.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gideon J. Lewis, \u201900<\/strong>, is a renowned sports medicine physician specializing in the care of the foot and ankle. A former Division I collegiate athlete, Lewis works with and treats professional athletes from a wide array of sports.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Diane Mahony, \u201996, <\/strong>is CEO of Kavaliro, an Orlando-based staffing services company that supports UCF by hiring UCF graduates and through philanthropy. She \u00a0serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Boys &amp; Girls Club of Central Florida and has held various leadership roles in the Orange County Public School system. She and husband John, \u201996, created the Mahony Family Endowed Scholarship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mary Beth Morgan <\/strong>is Director of Operations for the Glenda G. Morgan Charitable Foundation in Winter Park, a public charity that supports philanthropy, volunteerism and grant-making foundations, focusing specifically on facilitating fundraising programs nationally and internationally. The Foundation supports an annual service learning trip to Nicaragua for students in Burnett Honors College.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joyce Virga, \u201998<\/strong>, is a philanthropist residing in Fort Lauderdale. Together with her husband Vince, \u201995, she established a UCF scholarship for young adults with financial need and an entrepreneurial spirit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The UCF Alumni Association<\/strong> board of directors, led by its chair, Peter Cranis, \u201984, welcomes three new members this summer. The board is made up of dedicated volunteers who share their time and expertise to strengthen programs and services that benefit alumni and students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trish Celano, \u201910<\/strong>, is vice president\/chief nursing officer for Florida Hospital. Trish specializes in nursing strategies, mentoring, coaching and outcome management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Angela Cohen, \u201998<\/strong>, is president\/co-founder of Cyon, an Orlando-based professional recruitment firm. Angela\u2019s expertise includes strategic planning and Fortune 100 corporate management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beth Smith, \u201904<\/strong>, is the community relations manager for Orlando Health.
