University and community leaders recently launched a strategic planning process to set UCF\u2019s trajectory for the next 20 years and shape how the university can have a greater impact on lives and livelihoods throughout the region. Aptly named \u201cCollective Impact,\u201d this planning process involves not only internal stakeholders, but also members from the community. It will take place through Spring 2016.<\/p>\n

The Strategic Planning Commission was charged to explore UCF\u2019s role in the community through three dimensions: philosophy, value and distinctive impact. These dimensions will consider our purpose, the quality our institution provides, and areas of excellence that will distinguish UCF from other institutions, nationally and around the globe. Through these lenses, the commission will work with community members to deliver a road map that will help develop a long-term vision for UCF and a five-year action plan.<\/p>\n

How You Can Get Involved<\/strong><\/p>\n

UCF will host two open forums on campus and others in the community to discuss the planning process and solicit input from university and community stakeholders. All faculty, staff and students are invited to contribute their ideas during these open discussions about UCF\u2019s short- and long-term opportunities, challenges and areas of unique strength.<\/p>\n
