UCF Health,\u00a0the College of Medicine practice, has your back.<\/p>\n<p>Starting November 2, UCF Health has\u00a0a new service &#8212;\u00a0walk-in care for sick visits at its University Boulevard location.\u00a0No appointment is required from 8 a.m. \u2013 9 a.m. daily. So you can get in and out and be on the path to feeling better as quickly as possible. And you don\u2019t have to be an existing UCF Health patient to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>The walk-in clinic is staffed by certified nurse practitioners Annette Torres and Cindy Hongamen who are part of the UCF Health care team. Both Torres and Hongamen have instructed nurse practitioner students at UCF and carry that passion for education into the exam room with their patients by practicing evidence-based medicine and empowering patients to live healthy lives. They\u2019ll check you out and\u00a0provide care for your ailments.<\/p>\n<p>The best defense against the flu is getting a flu shot. But if you get sick and catch the flu early, antiviral drugs can reduce the severity and duration. These drugs work best when taken within two days of getting sick. So don\u2019t delay. Walk in and get care.<\/p>\n<p>UCF Health serves patients 16 and up and provides primary care and specialists under one roof at two locations \u2013 in East Orlando two blocks from the main UCF campus and in its new second location in Medical City.
