\u201cThe Unsinkables\u201d, a team of five UCF College of Business Administration (#UCFBusiness) students, emerged victorious in Fall 2015\u2019s Great Capstone Case Competition, sponsored by Regal Marine Industries, Inc., one of the largest family-owned-and-operated boat manufacturing companies in the world.<\/p>\n
The Unsinkables were the last ones standing out of 139 teams (624 students) enrolled in the Capstone class.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis was one of the hardest working teams I have seen in Capstone. Every member worked above and beyond to create an exciting, insightful recommendation for the client,\u201d said Leslie Connell, faculty manager for the winning team.<\/p>\n
The competition was held on Friday, December 11 in the Business Administration 1 atrium. Students worked together in teams to develop strategic recommendations for solving a real-world business issue for Regal. They then defended that strategy in an \u201cexecutive-level\u201d boardroom presentation.<\/p>\n
