With Valentine\u2019s Day right around the corner, UCF students are taking it upon themselves to make sure no one on campus feels alone.<\/p>\n
UCF Wellness & Health Promotion Services (UCF WHPS) is working with a new student group, \u201cTo Knights, With Love,\u201d encouraging students and faculty to put colored pen to paper writing uplifting messages to strangers in their own handwriting.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe started this last semester as part of our stress reduction initiative,\u201d said Mari Milenkovic, marketing coordinator of UCF WHPS. \u201cThese handwritten letters will be left in various spots around campus \u2013 including between pages of books in the library. Our hope is that these powerful uplifting messages find their way to UCF students around campus and provide words of encouragement and support.\u201d<\/p>\n
The next letter-writing activities are scheduled for:<\/p>\n
\u201cI am so grateful to be president of such an inspiring new chapter here at UCF,\u201d said Nicole Tedeschi, president of \u201cTo Knights, With Love.\u201d \u201cOur goal is to collect and distribute 200-300 letters by the end of the spring semester. I can only hope that this positive movement grows to have more people acknowledge that they are truly important, brave and loved.\u201d<\/p>\n
