For the 40th semester in a row, the combined GPAs of UCF fraternities and sororities exceeded those of the overall undergraduate population.<\/p>\n
A report for the Fall 2015 semester showed that Kappa Delta, Delta Phi Lambda and Kappa Alpha Theta had the highest academic performance of all UCF chapters.<\/p>\n
The three fraternities with the highest overall GPA included Phi Beta Sigma (3.05), Delta Lambda Phi (3.05) and Pi Kappa Phi (3.04). The top three sororities were Kappa Delta (3.40), Delta Phi Lambda (3.30) and Kappa Alpha Theta (3.30). The average Greek GPA was 3.04, while the average overall undergraduate GPA stood at 2.94.<\/p>\n
Clay Coleman, director of the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life, says the achievement showcases the dedication Greeks have to being leaders both on campus and in the classroom. Each chapter is required to have new members and members on academic probation attend academic success workshops focusing on time management, setting measurable goals and test-taking strategies.<\/p>\n
