For the third consecutive year, UCF\u2019s Rosen College of Hospitality Management is ranked among the top five best hospitality and hotel management schools in the world by CEOWorld<\/em> magazine.<\/p>\n

Although the college opened just 15 years ago, it managed to be ranked among decades-old programs such as Switzerland\u2019s Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne and the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University, which ranked No. 1 and No. 2, respectively.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely proud to hold the honored position of being one of the top programs in the world,\u201d says Youcheng Wang, dean of the college. \u201cRosen College\u2019s unique approach to education and the integration of our curriculum into the communities we serve is making a distinctive impact on future generations globally and for decades to come. We\u2019re educating the future hospitality leaders and it\u2019s evident.\u201d<\/p>\n

Located in the heart of hospitality in Orlando, Florida, Rosen College is the only hospitality program in the United States to offer a bachelor\u2019s degree in event management<\/a> and a doctoral degree in hospitality management<\/a>. The college values its relationships with academic institutions and industry, which can be seen in partnerships such as its two-year-old culinary medicine program with UCF\u2019s College of Medicine.<\/p>\n

The program welcomes fourth year medical students and teaches them how to help manage their patients\u2019 care through nutrition and healthy diets. The hands-on program places the soon-to-be doctors in the kitchen to cook and eat what they prepare. This year the program brought staff from Rosen Hotels & Resorts with certain health conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol into the kitchen with the students to learn side by side.  Local farms and ranches are also at the table for the culinary medicine program providing fresh produce and beef for the recipes.<\/p>\n

The college will soon host the 3rd Women\u2019s Hospitality Leadership Forum, Performance Driven<\/em>, on Friday, March 29. The Forum is open to students, faculty and hospitality industry professionals for a day of inspirational and purposeful content, aimed toward elevating both the current and next generation of women hospitality executives.<\/p>\n
