Director of Career and Technical Education Certificate - Online","degree_description":"<p>The <strong>Local Director of Career and Technical Education Graduate Certificate<\/strong> is an online, flexible, short term program of study that focuses on career and technical education and workforce training administration, supervision, and management competencies. The Certificate is designed for career and technical education (CTE) teachers or corporate trainers with a bachelor's degree who wish to advance their career as a:<\/p><ul> <li>CTE\/workforce program director<\/li> <li>CTE\/workforce program coordinator<\/li> <li>CTE\/workforce manager <ul> <li>education development, talent development, organizational development, technical\/workforce training<\/li> <\/ul> <\/li> <li>CTE\/workforce education consultant<\/li> <li>CTE\/workforce learning and development specialist<\/li> <li>CTE\/workforce supervisor<\/li> <li>or other CTE\/workforce administrator-type position.<\/li> <\/ul><p>It is also for students interested in advancing their knowledge in CTE professional education coursework.<\/p><p>This certificate may also, in part, prepare candidates to meet a portion of the State of Florida Department of Education <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fldoe.org\/teaching\/certification\/administrative-rules\/6a-4-044.stml\" target=\"_blank\">Certification in Local Director of Career and Technical Education<\/a> coursework requirements. Other requirements for the Florida DOE certification are noted on the FL DOE website.<\/p><p>*This graduate certificate is not an initial professional education certificate program.<\/p><p><strong>Total Credit Hours Required: 15 Credit Hours Minimum beyond the Bachelor's Degree<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/online\/degree\/local-director-career-technical-education\/\" target=\"_blank\">Local Director of Career and Technical Education may be completed fully online<\/a>. Newly admitted students choosing to complete this program exclusively via UCF online classes may enroll with a reduction in campus-based fees.<\/p><p>International students (F or J visa) are required to enroll in a full-time course load of 9 credit hours during the fall and spring semesters. Only 3 of the 9 credit hours may be taken in a completely online format.
