Candice Bridge holds a joint appointment at the University of Central Florida, where she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and a Research Professor at the National Center for Forensic Science.<\/a> Dr. Bridge\u2019s research group focuses on the analysis of trace forensic evidence to understand the uniqueness of chemical features and profiles using various chemometric statistical techniques. Using a variety of mass spectrometry techniques, they look to develop analytical methods that can increase the validity and evidentiary value of forensic evidence. Her group researches several types of trace evidence: 1) the characterization of lubricant evidence obtained from assaults, 2) the analysis of gunshot residue, 3) the identification of drugs\/metabolites and\/or masking agents in urine samples and 4) other trace samples (i.e. glitter and hair).
