[lead]Designed around people rather than stacks of books,\u00a021st-century libraries, such as the newly renovated\u00a0John C. Hitt Library, incorporate more natural lighting\u00a0and more open spaces for learning, studying and\u00a0collaborating.
\n[\/lead]<\/p>\n

Books are no longer front and center,\u00a0but that doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re gone. Instead, they \u2014\u00a0along with other reference materials \u2014 are stored in\u00a0an automated retrieval center built to house, protect\u00a0and provide easy access to volumes with the click of\u00a0a mouse. So students can spend more time searching\u00a0for answers rather than looking for Dewey decimals.<\/p>\n
