BIOGRAPHY: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gabrielle Quadrado joined the Coastal Risks and Engineering (CoRE) Lab at UCF in Summer 2025 as a Postdoctoral Researcher. She holds a bachelor\u2019s degree in Oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande (Brazil) and a master\u2019s degree in Geosciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil). She earned her Ph.D. in Geography, with a concentration in Climate Science, from the University of Florida in Spring 2025.<\/p>\n

RESEARCH: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Gabrielle\u2019s research focuses on sea-level variability, coastal hazards, and extreme waves and water level events. She integrates observational datasets with statistical models and geospatial analyses to assess the drivers, frequency, and impacts of coastal flooding and erosion events across different spatiotemporal scales. At the CoRE Lab, Gabrielle\u2019s current work leverages satellite altimetry datasets and machine learning techniques to reconstruct and analyze storm surges and extreme water levels globally. Overall, her work contributes to an improved understanding of coastal hazards and supports efforts to build climate resilience in vulnerable coastal regions.<\/p>\n
