She has a bachelor\u2019s degree in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology from Cedar Crest College and a master\u2019s degree in Entomology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She earned her master\u2019s degree in chemistry en route and became a PhD candidate at the University of Central Florida in 2024. Her primary project involves stormwater management and the ability of native Florida soils of variable properties to retain phosphorus before reaching water bodies downstream.
