Upon graduating with a bachelor\u2019s in environmental engineering, she joined the lab as a graduate research assistant in 2024 and is working towards her master\u2019s degree in civil engineering \u2013 water resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-6266 img-fluid aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/NR-2-1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/NR-2-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/NR-2-1-300x400.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/NR-2-1-270x360.jpg 270w, https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/NR-2-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESEARCH: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Namritha\u2019s research focuses on flow-vegetation interaction, sediment transport, and hydrodynamics within and surrounding aquatic vegetation, with applications is sustainable shoreline protection and climate adaptation. She combines field-based hydrodynamic measurements (waves, velocity, turbidity) with lab-based sediment texture analysis.
