She has a bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemistry from Purdue University and a master&#8217;s degree in Chemistry from the University of Central Florida. She became a PhD candidate at the University of Central Florida in the Fall of 2025. Her interest lies primarily in oceanic ecosystems. Her current project utilizes electrospinning as a means of core-shell nanofiber generation, forming fibers with a bioremedial core and a natural polymer shell in order to reduce oil contamination of coastal and freshwater ecosystems using biodegradable shells and environmentally friendly cores.
