He later joined the University of Central Florida to pursue a master\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering (Smart Cities track) and now works in the RISE Lab, applying remote sensing, UAV technologies, and computer vision to real-world infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"266\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6217 img-fluid aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ucf.edu\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/02\/ahmed-profile.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>RESEARCH: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His research focuses on advancing UAV-based monitoring and inspection for civil infrastructure. In the RISE Lab, he works with LiDAR, photogrammetry, and UAV-enabled environmental sensing, with a particular interest in autonomous inspection, real-time data collection, and long-term structural assessment.
