Charge On.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"five-year-plan\">\t\t\t<div class=\"jumbotron jumbotron-fluid bg-secondary mb-0 py-4 py-md-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\n<h2 class=\"mb-3 mb-lg-4\">A History of Impact<\/h2>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<div class=\"pr-xl-5 col-lg-9\">\n\t\t\t\t\nThe University of Central Florida (UCF) was founded in 1963 to provide talent, research expertise, and advanced degrees for the emerging space industry, which had the exciting and challenging goal of \u201clanding a man on the moon and returning him safely to Earth.\u201d Before that time, such an achievement was but a fantasy reserved for science fiction.\n<p>In a relatively short time, Orlando\u2019s hometown university emerged as a major metropolitan research university with internationally recognized academic programs in engineering, science, healthcare, hospitality, and the arts. UCF has expanded access and learning pathways, grown our student population, and extended our physical and digital footprints to support business migration and population growth in Florida. Our student body reflects the future of Florida and America, composed of diverse, entrepreneurial, creative, and community-minded innovators.<\/p>\n<p>Our most valuable asset is our people. UCF has never been restrained by our past because our faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends have always been optimistic dreamers focused on the future possibilities. UCF\u2019s rapid achievements are the result of the efforts of our people and they will be our greatest asset as we focus on excellence.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"h4 mb-3 mt-4\">Looking Ahead<\/h3>\n<p>Despite the university\u2019s success, we find ourselves at an inflection point.
