As we welcome back students and more of our colleagues to campus next week, I again thank you — our staff and faculty — for everything you are doing to prepare us for a successful kick-off to a school year unlike anything we have experienced before.

I continue to be amazed by your work across UCF – in our physical and virtual classrooms, office spaces and research labs —supporting students, adjusting teaching plans and preparing our campus so that thousands of Knights can continue their educational dreams uninterrupted.

Over the past several months, you have navigated many challenges, and we are grateful for your resiliency and optimism. I am inspired by all you have done, and I invite you to watch the video below recognizing your work — we cannot say thank you enough.

So many of us thrive on the vibrancy and excitement of campus, especially on the first day of fall. Despite the changes this semester, we continue to find new ways to stay connected with each other and our students, even while we are in different places. We also remain committed to being agile and flexible and making data-informed decisions as we move forward.

Although our classrooms and gathering spaces will rightfully be far less busy than normal, your ingenuity, innovation and compassion are keeping our university community together.

While many things will look and be different this fall, this is still UCF — because of the dedication, commitment and impact of our people who make us incredible together.

Charge On!
