Located in downtown Orlando, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts brings international, national and local artists to its stages. And from April 7 through 14, it served as the home of UCF Celebrates the Arts.
For the first time, theater students performed this year’s spring musical, Oklahoma!, at the venue’s 2,700-seat Walt Disney Theater. Directed by musical theatre coordinator Earl D. Weaver, the production featured a cast of 50 performers and dancers and more than 70 orchestra members on one stage.
Kyle Laing ’17 and sophomore Madeline Regier performed the lead roles of Curly McLain and Laurey Williams.
