In anticipation of Hurricane Ian’s expected impact on Central Florida, the University has announced that campus operations will be canceled Wednesday, September 28 through Friday, September 30. Current forecasts call for sustained tropical storm force winds to impact the Orlando area from Wednesday afternoon through Friday morning.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, all Family Weekend activities are now canceled.

All registered participants for the FYE Family Weekend package will be automatically refunded within 2-3 weeks; no additional form or formal request to receive this refund is needed. The refund amount will be $33.95 per person registered.
All registered participants for the Family Weekend Saturday, October 1 Football Tailgate will be automatically refunded within 2-3 weeks; no additional form or formal request to receive this refund is needed. The refund amount will be $35.02 per person registered. If you already submitted a refund request prior to receiving this message, we will work to ensure you receive your refund.
The home football game remains slated for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 1, and UCF Athletics will communicate additional information.
UCF students may pick up Family Weekend shirts for all registered guests in their parties by coming to the First Year Experience office with their UCFID any time between Wednesday, Oct. 7, through Friday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (excluding weekends). First Year Experience is located in Howard Phillips Hall, Suite 216.
