The University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications and nominations for the position of Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. The provost is the second-highest ranking officer of the university and provides academic leadership for the university’s 12 colleges, including a college of medicine, multiple campuses, research centers, and institutes. The provost oversees academic support services and student services and is responsible for curriculum, academic planning, faculty appointments, faculty development, and promotion and tenure decisions. The provost chairs the university’s budget committee and, in consultation with the president, is responsible for the university’s annual budget. At the president’s direction, the provost also serves as liaison to the Board of Trustees on academic matters.
